Writing this as a record while visiting consultations for revision rhinoplasty so I do not forget. The order was coordinator–doctor–coordinator. There was no consultation fee, but there was some waiting, so I waited 30 minutes before seeing the doctor. I had already shown my question list during the coordinator consultation, and during the doctor's consultation I asked freely about everything that came to mind. They did not make me feel self-conscious for asking many questions, which was comfortable. However, the doctor speaks rather quickly, so someone with a relaxed pace might have trouble keeping up. Interestingly, they also checked my jaw joint. The doctor even knew which side I chew on more and seemed sensitive to symmetry. I had a CT scan too. There was no obvious functional problem, but the doctor said that, although it was not certain, the tip seemed to have absorbed considerably to the naked eye. First, replacing the silicone bridge implant is definitely necessary. The doctor recommended not making the bridge too high and suggested 3 mm. Since the bridge is slightly protruding, the doctor recommended shaving it down; reducing the hump should allow the bridge to look smooth once the silicone is inserted. I was disappointed because I wanted the bridge higher, but since my skin is thin, I am considering not raising it too much in line with the doctor's opinion. I had also been deliberating between donor rib cartilage and autologous costal cartilage for the tip, and the doctor recommended autologous costal cartilage. I also asked about particulate rib-cartilage rhinoplasty, which I had been curious about, but the doctor strongly advised against it. I asked out of personal curiosity and plan to ask routinely at every future revision-rhinoplasty consultation. I asked how many surgeries they perform per day, and they said they only do one nose-related surgery per day. Other clinics probably do two or more, so I liked that. If I am very concerned about the scar from harvesting autologous rib cartilage, Fraxel may be possible later, and aftercare includes swelling injections and Healite. The doctor seems naturally meticulous, so I have some expectations for the surgery.
