In July 2021, I had my third double-eyelid surgery with Kwon Jang-deok-nim and ended up with 4 mm sausage eyes. I told them I was having surgery because my left eye wouldn’t open and I wanted to improve my fortune-telling face, and I got incision surgery + ptosis correction for 4 million won. After the surgery, the left eye that wouldn’t open felt heavy, and the right eye wouldn’t close at all. The manager said it was swelling. When I mentioned headaches and eye pulling, they connected me to neurology and I was prescribed medicine. But even after 2 years, there was no change, and the right eye would not close at all unless I pressed it shut with my hand. I consulted 4 clinics known for doing a lot of eye surgeries, and at all 4 I was told that my 4 mm double eyelid was extremely thin and that because there was no skin left, it looked like it opened wide like a rabbit’s eye, so I needed a double-line procedure. At one clinic I was even refused surgery because there was not enough reserve skin and there was absolutely none left, so even a double-line procedure was impossible. In 2023 I paid 5 million won for the double-line procedure, and it has now been almost a year. During the double-line procedure, they removed the ptosis correction that Kwon Jang-deok-nim had done, and my left eye opened. Because Kwon Jang-deok-nim had also widened the epicanthoplasty area during the original surgery, I am now planning epicanthoplasty revision as well. I was told the double-line procedure and the revision should be done separately, so I haven’t had it yet (front revision 3 million won). Since 2021, I have suffered a lot because of my eyes, and now the scar from the front revision has to heal for a year too, so I have had to live like this for 4 years. I spent a total of 12 million won. I asked for a refund and the cost of re-surgery by KakaoTalk, and the manager called me. Why are you telling me this? I should tell the director directly, right? They made a consultation appointment for me, so I visited. I was left in a room without speaking to the director, while the manager went back and forth between the director’s room and the room I was in, just relaying each side’s opinions. After waiting a long time, I went into the director’s room, and the moment he saw my face, without any conversation or consultation at all, he showed me the photos first and spoke in a threatening, raised voice, holding a camera and gesturing, saying, “Sit there, sit down (raising his voice), just sit down first. I’m the kind of person who does whatever they ask me to do, you know? Tell me which hospital it is. If you don’t tell me, I can’t help you.” He then gave me a look with one corner of his mouth raised. When I told the clinic that did the double-line procedure about this, they said naming the hospital was my choice, but they could not provide documents or a medical certificate. I never knew that the price of having surgery at Kwon Jang-deok K Plastic Surgery would end up costing me so much money and time. I was also hurt emotionally by the director’s attitude and words. I remember the manager as very rude, but when I went this time, they were very kind, so I appreciate that.
