I had a CT scan, and the consultation with the doctor was fairly clear and well explained. Another place said my septum was too small and that I absolutely had to use rib cartilage, but here he said it could be done with the septum plus ear cartilage. But I was a little bothered when he said the ear cartilage would be harvested from behind the ear. (At the hospital I had just visited before, I had heard that it’s better to harvest ear cartilage from the front.) The manager seemed to push for booking a lot. The hospital was in a somewhat hard-to-find location, and they said that after surgery, once the packing is removed and during the middle stages of recovery, I might not be able to see the doctor, which made me a bit uneasy.
