At first, my chart was written up as a double eyelid consultation, but then they suddenly asked if I was also thinking about canthoplasty, and then suddenly told me to go back outside and sit down. The first coordinator consultation was already over. After waiting 1 to 2 minutes in the lobby, I went in for the doctor consultation. The doctor was a bit older. They said it was a one-doctor clinic. They were blunt, but had a warm feeling.. As soon as I sat down, they asked what I wanted, and when I said I wanted my eyes to look bigger, they asked whether I wasn't dissatisfied with the length of my eyes. I got the feeling the conversation was subtly being steered toward canthoplasty. They adjusted my double eyelid line several times and measured the length and width of my eyes with a ruler. They directly mentioned the term Wonder canthoplasty and said I would need that for more length and a more refreshed look. They said my bones protrude, making my eyes look covered. Since revealing the covered skin would make the line look more visible even at the same height, they recommended incisional ptosis correction + Wonder canthoplasty. They strongly recommended canthoplasty and showed me several before-and-after cases. Unlike Premier, they said I am **not the type whose eyes and eyebrows are close together**. After the doctor consultation, there was a closing consultation with the coordinator. As soon as I sat down in the consultation room, they turned on a PPT and explained their clinic's Wonder canthoplasty. They said Wonder canthoplasty is only performed at their clinic, and that other places just change the name and do lower canthoplasty and epicanthoplasty. Their speaking was fast and their tone was pretty strong, and they seemed to have a lot of pride. If you look at it positively, they may seem confident, but I didn't really get the sense that they were kind... They said other clinics have side effects such as a D-shape, a sad look, and inability to smile with the eyes, but their canthoplasty method does not. I said I still needed some more time to think, and they said it could be fully refunded anyway, so why not put it down and go. When I said I still needed to think about it, their expression hardened completely. I was kind of drawn in during the doctor consultation, but if I actually had surgery later, it felt like the coordinator would be totally unable to manage the patient, and if I called with questions or worries, they probably wouldn't even check the progress... Since they were like that even before surgery, I felt like after surgery they'd be even more likely to just insist on their own way, so I changed my mind. I think the coordinator ruined the image of the place. When I asked if there was a consultation fee, they gave me an annoyed look and flatly said, yes. ♦️Special notes: They say this place is hot these days, but there were no other consultation customers and I was the only one in the hospital. Maybe because of that, everything moved very quickly. First consultation - doctor consultation - closing consultation all done in 25 minutes. It's such a proudly Wonder-canthoplasty-focused hospital that you could also think it's trustworthy, but I think opinions will be split.
