After that, I consulted hospitals that had CT scans, and every hospital with a CT scan said my existing cartilage could not be used and that it would be better to use costal cartilage. I think if I had the surgery at Yejin, they might not have realized the cartilage was unusable until after opening me up, and that could have led to an awkward situation.
