This clinic showed me that a doctor's kindness and consultation expertise are separate things.. Usually, the line photos I bring are only used as references, but he laid out a step-by-step plan for how to get from my eyes to that eye, ChatGPT-style, point by point. I brought photos of several celebrities, and he said, "Yes, this person would be the one to go with," and explained like a machine how each surgery would help me reach the eye shape I wanted. He also drew the line like a machine. But weirdly, I ended up loving that line; I felt like if I had surgery here, they would do their best to make the eyes I wanted. He wasn't kind, but rather, not being kind seemed to maximize his consultation expertise. The manager felt like she just wanted to chat with me. That said, I'm a protruding-eyed person with the eyes open on all four sides, and when he said I should do upper canthoplasty, I felt like, why bother? (This was the first and last place that told me to do canthoplasty.) I strongly dislike ptosis correction and wanted to focus on improving the downsides, so I skipped the surgery. And the doctor's pride is way too strong.
