I went after specifying the surgeon, but the first time, by the time I got there, the surgeon had already gone home. I was persuaded and made another appointment with a different surgeon for another day, but again I couldn't see that surgeon and was told I would be shown yet another surgeon. My trust dropped there, so I don't think I'll go through with it, but I also felt it was a waste of the time I took off work and a waste of the money for going back and forth, so I just went and saw another surgeon. The consultation wasn't bad, but it was so hard to actually see the surgeon that I wonder whether the designated surgeon will really have time, and whether the surgeon who does the operation and the one who checks the progress afterward will be the same person.
