Unlike the large hospitals with spacious, well-designed interiors, this place wasn’t especially huge, but it had a warm, familiar kind of interior. I figured surgery has nothing to do with the hospital interior anyway, and there were a lot of people waiting. I waited my turn and then went in for a consultation with the director, who took a fairly detailed and lengthy look at my case. These days eye surgery feels like the default, so I was thinking I’d do it if I found a decent place, and if not, I wouldn’t bother. The director showed me many photo examples of eyes similar to mine and explained everything in detail, so I trusted them and paid the reservation deposit. The surgery is scheduled for the middle of next month.
