I made the consultation appointment separately, so I called on Saturday and went after being told I could come in for a consultation. When I got there, there were about 6 groups, but consultations moved quickly, so I only waited about 30 minutes before going in. Because I went after reading reviews online and in a cafe community, I already knew what kind of doctor the director was, and that made me want to consult even more. One of my eyes has a double crease because it lacks the strength to open properly, and the other has a hidden double eyelid, so my eyes are uneven. As soon as I sat down, he told me absolutely not to get double eyelid surgery. The main reason was that because my eye-opening strength is uneven, my eyes would still be uneven after surgery. He also said that people naturally tend to dislike eyes that become uneven after surgery more than eyes that have always been uneven naturally. He said not to do it. If there were a doctor better at surgery than him, it might be possible, but that would not be easy, and since my current appearance is not bad, I should just live like this. If he had to recommend anything, it would be something like chin Botox, and he kept stressing not to get double eyelid surgery all the way until I left. He never even mentioned the price, and he was so firm that I did not even think to ask lol. But the director was kind and explained things clearly, and it was something I had kind of expected from reading reviews anyway. I also had not gone in having made a 100% decision about whether to have eye surgery at all, so I think what he said was helpful.
