After surgery for a hump nose plus donated costal cartilage at the nasal tip, I developed a step-off between the tip and hump area, so I had a consultation because I only wanted to fill that step-off. They introduced many possible surgical methods, and the first was using silicone on the nasal bridge. I had a strong aversion to silicone, but they recommended it, saying silicone was best even compared with other materials. They said they might need to shave down more of the hump to place the silicone, and that the nose could become crooked
