It’s Mi, Cheongju branch, double eyelid partial incision + ptosis correction, 3-year follow-up I had it during winter break in 9th grade, right before I entered high school. I thought something like double eyelid surgery was common and had fewer side effects, so it seemed fine to do it in Cheongju. This was the first place I went for a consultation. I had heard you should visit several clinics for double eyelid consultations, but I was satisfied with the consultation here and the price wasn’t burdensome, so I decided right away without going anywhere else. 1. Consultation First, the female director who consulted me was very kind. Her explanation was detailed, and she only recommended exactly what was needed, nothing more, so the consultation didn’t feel burdensome. But the doctor was in the middle of a procedure, so I couldn’t see his face. Because I was a student, they said incision surgery could leave a scar, so they recommended partial incision and said that if it loosened later when I became a college student, they would do the full incision for free. My mom also remembered it that way. But when I asked again recently, they said it was free only if it came undone within 1 year, and if not, I would have to pay for revision surgery, which made me pretty angry. 2. My eyes I already had a double eyelid crease, but the line was different every day and changed depending on swelling and condition, so it was stressful. That’s why I kept trying to manage it throughout middle school, but in the end I couldn’t take it anymore and got it done. My eyes didn’t have much fat and didn’t even need canthoplasty, so this was a case of only double eyelid surgery and ptosis correction!! 3. Side effects and after surgery I had sedation anesthesia, and after waking up I stayed in the recovery room for about 30 minutes. There was no pain at all.. seriously, I’m not lying, I was scared, but right after there was just a little stinging, and even that went away after I slept and woke up. I got the prescription at the pharmacy downstairs from the hospital, went home, applied the ointment, and did cold and warm compresses. In short, it didn’t hurt at all.. 4. 3-year follow-up The line settled into my eyes so naturally that even friends who had known me before didn’t notice until I told them first. That shows how natural it is. The big swelling lasted 1 month, and the remaining swelling lasted another 3 to 4 months, but I think that was partly because I was careless with the eye compresses. A friend of mine also got the same double eyelid surgery through my introduction, and for her all the swelling went down in just one month. But both my friend and I have the same thing in common: if you look casually, you can’t really tell, but in photos one side is a little lower, so it’s uneven. But it’s not the kind of unevenness that looks strange or obvious, so other people don’t notice even if you tell them. It just feels like personal satisfaction? At the 1-month checkup I mentioned that the lines were different, and they said one side had a thinner crease so they pinched it more strongly, and that once the swelling went down later it would match, but it still remains to some extent. Personally it doesn’t bother me too much, but as someone who likes taking photos and is sensitive, it’s a little frustrating. 5. Overall impression What I later found out is that this place is run by a visiting doctor, so the price is cheap. But the skill is good for the price, so the results are good. Two of my friends went here through my recommendation, and they all turned out well. But if you are extremely sensitive about photos or your appearance, I’d rather tell you to go to Seoul!! This feels like a good-value double eyelid surgery place? Recommended for people who want to look naturally prettier but Seoul feels too burdensome 6. Extra The director has a lot of procedures, so he looks a bit tired and isn’t extremely kind. People who don’t care about that probably won’t mind. Also, the partial incision + ptosis correction was 1 million, and with tax included they charged 1.1 million won. The stitches were removed a week later, and at the 1-month follow-up I went in, it was over in almost 5 minutes, so that felt a bit empty. The total price was 1.1 million won!
