I visited after reading reviews on ㄱㄴㅇㄴ because it suited my taste the best. Honestly, there weren’t many online reviews, so I dug through Naver Cafes to do my homework, and it seemed okay, so I went. I liked that there weren’t tons of events on Gangnam Unni. There is a consultation fee. I made a reservation for a weekday afternoon and went, and there was almost no wait before I met the director. The clinic is small but clean, and the ceilings are high. The word that fits is like a gallery. That said, the building itself has a lot of clinics and is tall, so there were like 3 elevators, which was a hassle. But you can take the escalator straight from the subway station into the building, and the clinic is on the 3rd floor, so if you take the escalator it’s not bad. I was consulting with the male director, and he looked very tired and felt like he would do exactly what I asked without pushing surgery. It was the kind of consultation where the doctor doesn’t really bring things up himself, but answers when I take the lead. This was the first clinic that told me not to do inner corner surgery. When I insisted that I wanted it done, he said then just do one side. It’s a clinic that really pursues natural results. He held up a hand mirror and adjusted the line a few times, and the consultation ended in less than 20 minutes. After that I talked about the price with the consultant manager and went home. It was a weekday evening on the day of surgery, and parking at the building wasn’t bad. I went into the consultation room and made the payment. Took pre-op photos and changed clothes. After changing, I met the director again, had the line marked, and waited in the waiting room. The waiting room was a sealed private room, which I liked! I waited on a one-person sofa. The really terrifying part was that while I was waiting in the recovery room, I was sitting briefly on a chair in front of the operating room before going in, and I heard someone crying and screaming inside the operating room, while the male doctor quietly said, be quiet. Stay still. It was truly frightening. It was my first time having any cosmetic surgery, so after hearing someone scream, I seriously considered not going through with it. The consultant manager I had spoken with came over and said something like they were doing thread lifting... I had been thinking of getting thread lifting later, but I gave up on that right away. That in itself was scary, and because the clinic was small, that part was a bit disappointing. (Right next to the director’s room there is a glass door leading into the surgery area, and right next to that there’s the operating room and a room with beds, then you turn the corner to the waiting room.) During the surgery I felt my eye being touched and woke up, and they told me to open my eyes to set the line. Because of the lights it was bright and I couldn’t open my eyes well, and the doctor said in a slightly irritated voice that if it was like this the surgery wouldn’t turn out well, so I got scared. I was glad that KakaoTalk communication worked well even at night. And when I went in for follow-up checks and to apply medicine, it was nice that I could meet the doctor and ask questions each time (he was very kind then!). I was also satisfied that the director gave feedback on the things I had asked about in KakaoTalk when I went to apply the medicine. Maybe because the hands are good, even though it was an incision, there wasn’t much swelling or bruising. Once the stitches came out, the swelling went down quickly (I didn’t go walking). It’s been about 8 months, and the double-eyelid scar is barely visible! The inner-corner surgery scar is there, but unless I pull my eyes forward, it’s not noticeable. I also wasn’t using Dermatix consistently, but it healed naturally and turned out very well, so I’m very satisfied!! It turned out very natural, and I was worried because I have a lot of eyelid fat, but I didn’t get sausage eyes. If anything, I wish the inner corners had been opened a bit more. That said, the line was made too short, so even though I got double eyelids, the line looks and feels dragged... It would have been better if the director had been a little kinder during the first consultation. The consultant manager and the front desk staff were all kind!
