My lips have always been on the thin side, so even with lip makeup they don’t stand out much, and when I smile my lips look even smaller, so I kept worrying about it. This time I went in for a lip filler consultation. I had spent a ton of time reading reviews and thought going in person would be the fastest, so I made an appointment, and I was surprised that the consultation was much more detailed than I expected. They didn’t just say to add a lot of filler; they first looked at my facial proportions and then explained one by one, including the corners of my mouth and the shape of my cupid’s bow. I said I wanted a natural look, and they told me that rather than just adding volume too aggressively, it would probably look prettier to tidy up the line first, which made me trust them for no reason. They also explained the differences between filler types in an easy way, and I liked that they honestly explained things like how long it lasts and swelling or bruising. Before the consultation I thought all I needed was for my lips to be a little fuller, but I learned for the first time that it’s important to design it while also considering the overall atmosphere of the face
