It seems like this doctor prefers the buried method. They said that when you're young, the buried method is better, and if you have eyes that don't really need surgery, buried is better too, with the nuance that later on, years down the line, they'll sag and then if you need revision surgery, why bother? I wanted the buried method, so it felt like a good consultation.
