It has been one month since my surgery. Even before going in, I worried a lot and searched for side effect reviews until the day before, but thankfully the surgery went well. From the first day to the first week I was so swollen that I looked ridiculous, but after the second week the major swelling went down, my eyebrows came down too, and things gradually improved! The biggest worry, hair loss, is still being monitored, and I definitely feel like my hair is falling out a little more than usual (about 1.1 to 2 times the normal amount..?) but it's not really at a level that seriously bothers me.. I think I need to keep watching it a bit longer, and the reduction incision was stitched up well, so if I wear my bangs down, people can hardly tell. Unless I completely expose my forehead, the red line isn't very visible..! After the surgery, the heavy feeling in my eyes definitely improved, and I like that I can open my eyes well without using my forehead. And what I'm happiest about is that my forehead wrinkles disappeared and it feels tight.. I'm so glad. I think it was really the right choice to do the reduction as well. My forehead became smoother, the line got prettier, and the overall proportions of my face improved. What I was dissatisfied with, though, is... the doctor was kind, but because they were so busy, there was almost no aftercare, and even when I went to get the stitches removed, they looked at me for less than a minute before leaving. The front desk staff also honestly didn't feel very warm to me.. If aftercare is important to you, I think you should go somewhere else, and since my surgery went well without any major side effects, I'm satisfied for now. I just hope the sensation comes back now. Oh, and it's really, really subtle, but my eyebrow position is just a tiny bit different (only I can really tell), so the double eyelids are a little asymmetrical... I think it would have been better if that had been matched too. As I keep writing, more things come to mind, so one more thing: after the surgery, the bangs area gets extremely oily... until about the 3-week mark, even if I washed my bangs twice and dried them, they would get greasy again immediately, so my friends asked if I hadn't washed my hair. By about one month, it does go back to normal! +) You also have to buy recovery cream, scar cream, and so on separately from the hospital, and that costs more than I expected too, so keep that in mind before surgery!
