I had a piercing in my earlobe before, then took it out, and as the hole closed up, a keloid formed. At first it was just a small hard lump, but as time passed it gradually grew and protruded. It became so firm that I could feel it even from behind my ear, so it showed immediately when I tied my hair up... That is why I went in for a consultation, and they carefully checked the size and condition of the keloid. The methods were to reduce it with injections or to remove it with surgery.
