A friend had surgery at this doctor’s former clinic, so I went after getting recommended. (My friend ended up naturally, and it’s been 5 to 6 years, but so far it’s still fine.) I had made a reservation in advance here too, but there was quite a wait.. Among the five places I visited, this was the only one that did the consultation without opening the nose. They said both autologous costal cartilage and donor costal cartilage were possible, but they recommended donor cartilage. The cost was higher than the quote for eyes + nose at other places; here, the price for just one nose surgery came out more expensive. Still, this doctor is an otolaryngology specialist, so if you have national health reimbursement insurance, they said they can do the functional surgery together and help you claim the reimbursement.. That would add the functional surgery fee, but since the reimbursement payout would be more than the functional surgery cost, in the end it works out like a discount. But I never had rhinitis to begin with, and aside from going to ENT for a cold, I never had any functional discomfort at all (of course I had never been recommended functional surgery either), and the chief coordinator specifically told me which other clinics I had consulted at and gave personal recommendations for and against them, which actually made me wary, I did want to go when I saw my friend’s nose shape, but after the consultation I decided to look elsewhere. I think it would be good for people considering non-incisional surgery or cosmetic surgery that includes functional surgery to go and check it out!!
