My nose had an upturned tip, so from the front my nostrils were too visible. I got nose surgery to improve that and raise the bridge a bit as well! At first, because of the swelling inside my nose, I mainly had to breathe through my mouth, but I did not really feel any other major discomfort. The swelling went down quickly with frequent compresses and a bit of walking. Once the swelling at the tip went down, the nostrils that used to look so wide open improved too, and it did not make my midface look longer, so it did not look awkward.
