In 2022 I had silicone + septal extension / ear cartilage + bulbous nose correction + hump reduction osteotomy, and as of 2026, at a revision-removal specialty hospital they removed everything except the columellar strut. And since I was removing it anyway, I wanted to leave a review of my first surgery hospital... First of all, the doctor’s consultation was way too perfunctory... It was my first consultation, but I spent less than 5 minutes with the doctor. It got to the point where I felt nervous just trying to ask questions, so I didn’t get a proper consultation and ended up on the operating table. They said they would explain in detail on the day of surgery, but on the day of surgery, 5 minutes?? In my experience, it felt like 1 minute lol, and the doctor just said everything alone and that was it ^^ Why did I still choose them? I don’t even know... I guess I was too lazy about everything... lol The surgery itself was satisfactory. I told them I really wanted it to look glamorous and asked them to raise the area between my eyebrows a lot!!, and they inserted the silicone starting below the glabella, so there was a bit of a step and the nose tip looked relatively higher. But in the end, I judged that the result the doctor made was better. If it had turned out the way I wanted, I think I would have regretted it badly. The problem was the inflammatory reaction to the silicone. From the second month, only part of the bridge would suddenly swell and turn red to the point of popping!! and because it kept repeating, it seemed like inflammation. That was when I first learned that silicone side effects can include inflammatory symptoms. This side effect can’t really be blamed on the hospital, but when I went there worried, I was so disappointed by how irresponsibly they responded. I was already having such a hard time mentally... I kept holding out with repeated inflammation and antibiotics, but eventually even the antibiotics stopped helping, and it got so obviously inflamed that I put off all my work and had it removed. Before choosing the removal hospital, I also went to [Clinic A] to get an estimate for removal and to get my medical records too (they said I had to come in person to get them). Even though I had made an appointment and went, they said the consultation would only be with the manager At first I had no expectations, so I thought, ah right, this hospital... still the same. But since I had taken a half-day off, my time felt too wasted, so I got all timid ~~ Still, it’s surgery, shouldn’t I hear from the doctor? When I said that, they said the deputy director might have time, and brought in the deputy director The deputy director explained the removal well and spoke confidently, but I just couldn’t bring myself to trust this hospital..... so I left with only my medical records I even saw later at home that the surgery date on the records was listed as 2023 lol. Mine was in 2022 though.. It felt like they had cobbled together the real records somehow.. just a guess though For reference, the medical records were issued at the request of the removal specialty hospital! Plastic surgery is really only plastic surgery and nothing more, nothing less. A cosmetic surgery hospital exists for beauty, not to treat people like a general hospital.... Even if something goes wrong, they don’t take responsibility, and then it becomes only your problem~~~ In conclusion, the surgery itself was not too bad. The response and aftercare were the worst~~ (for reference, I’m quiet and timid, so I never once raised my voice at the hospital~~)
