I went in for a consultation for secondary eye surgery. The clinic was clean, and because it was by appointment, I liked being able to go straight in for the consultation without waiting. The staff were fairly kind, and the doctor had a slightly blunt + very firm surgical standard of his own. Still, when I asked questions, he answered without getting irritated. He explained things while showing photos here and there. I asked about a lateral canthoplasty, and he said that surgery does not exist and that I would need an epicanthoplasty. I also asked whether it could be done by buried suture again since I had had buried-suture surgery before, and he said no. He said it would have to be incisional (later I visited other clinics and they all said buried suture would be possible.. that part was a little disappointing). My eyes are not extreme and the buried suture had just loosened, so I had no scar and so on, but compared with that, the surgery cost was pretty high. Probably because it was incisional.
