I think I waited almost 3 hours only on the day of surgery.. My surgery was at 6, so they told me to come by 5, and I used half a day off and arrived around 4:30. At 5 I changed clothes and was waiting for surgery, but even after 6 there was no word, so when I asked the front desk they only then said the previous surgery was delayed and told me to keep waiting. I ended up sitting there in a patient gown, not even in a recovery room, just in the waiting room where everyone was walking by.. As it was getting close to 7 I got more and more angry and was about to go home, but only then they said it was almost finished and I should wait because I’d go in for surgery soon. In the end I think I went in around 7:30. When the anesthesia wore off, I was surprised that it hurt much more than I expected, and with glasses on it wasn’t very noticeable. It has been a month and a half now, but suddenly something appeared near the outer corner of my eye and it got red and swollen, so when I visited ophthalmology they said it was suture exposure and told me to go to plastic surgery? I called the clinic and they said it was normal and just to leave it alone, and that was it.. It was itchy and stung, so I went back to ophthalmology and bought eye drops and antibiotic eye ointment myself and used them.. The lower outer canthoplasty itself looks natural, so even when my family looks closely they can’t tell at all whether I had it done. I just hope I don’t end up with a scar at the outer corner of my eye.
