The reason I started thinking about removing my Cocor nose was not because of complications, but because of the shape. Since the Cocor nose uses no incision and uses autologous cartilage, there were no issues like inflammation, and recovery was fairly easy, so I was satisfied with that. But even as time passed, I kept feeling bothered that only the tip of my nose looked like it was bulging upward. At first I thought it would settle into place and waited, but from the front it looked bluntly protruding, so I had no choice but to look into revision surgery to remove it. The doctor also said it seemed like the support at the tip of the nose had remained a bit too much, and the surgery itself to remove it was less burdensome than I expected. Some hospitals said autologous costal cartilage was essential as the revision material, but this place did not require that, which I liked, and the revision went well even without using autologous costal cartilage. With the nose, safety is important, but if you do not want revision again, I think whether the shape suits you is really the most important thing.
