The uncomfortable atmosphere still hasn't left my mind. They wouldn't even make eye contact with the patient, just said what they had to say and even that was cut off mid-sentence, making the room feel awkward and solemn. They said they couldn't guarantee the surgical outcome, and with a tone like, "you've seen all the botched eyes from here and there, so what more are you expecting from me?" I felt completely turned off ... I've been going around to consultations for a long time, and among dozens of hospital visits, this was the most unpleasant moment.
