After a really long hesitation, I got lip surgery. The consultation was formal and short, and not very friendly either. The surgery cost was also more expensive than I expected, and now, a year later, the effect is almost nonexistent. Still, the lip that used to twist crookedly every time I opened my mouth has regained some stability, and nobody can tell I had lip surgery, so I decided to be satisfied with just not ending up with a ruined lip. My lips still feel dull. The director said the swelling would go down in a week, and on the day of surgery, a self-produced promotional video played at the front desk featuring the doctor himself, advertising that you could even eat a hamburger after discharge on the day of surgery, but I ended up in a panic because it hurt way more than I expected and I was even dribbling water everywhere, and it was hard to talk. The swelling also lasted for about a month.. it was a surgery with a long recovery.
