This hospital specializes in facelifts, and since videos are also being uploaded steadily on YouTube, I booked a consultation and visited. I consulted with Dr. Yoon Seung-gi, but it felt like I, the patient, was more proactive than the doctor^^ Of course, I know my own face better than anyone and I know the parts that bother me most, but when I asked about the areas that could be done together with a facelift and other questions, the response felt not very enthusiastic and somewhat formulaic... Well, doctors are human too, so repeating the same consultation after hours outside surgery might be tiring. But from the patient's perspective, this isn't a small or cheap surgery, and you visit after a long period of deliberation, and it's a difficult surgery, so you want confidence and trust from the doctor... Also, when I discussed the part that had been badly botched by a previous surgery and is a huge complex for me, they didn't really understand that They said it didn't seem that bad. I guess you could call it lacking empathy. And it felt like they weren't very confident. They should have just honestly told me to look elsewhere for that area. And like most other hospitals, the doctor and manager had the mindset that their hospital is the best. What really baffled me most was when I was discussing the surgery cost with the manager: the quote for facelift + neck lift + brow lift + forehead reduction + fat-dissolving treatment came to 23.1 million won total, and then they said if I applied the event discount for up to 20 people and posted a good review, they would give me a 6.6 million won discount and do it for 16.5 million? 6.6 million isn't some random number, so did they think I'd happily accept such a huge markdown? It actually made me lose more trust and feel like I should avoid them. I had already made it clear I wanted multiple areas done and was very proactive, so it felt like they were treating me like a clueless sucker and just slashing the price however they wanted.. I had already looked up actual surgery prices by area from other patients, and how on earth did they calculate 23.1 million?? My face isn't even that difficult of a case.. The fat-dissolving cost wasn't included in the ad price above. I wasn't sure of the advertised price range... The ad listed facelift + neck lift at 9 million and brow lift + reduction at 5.5 million. Of course, prices differ depending on whether it's the chief doctor or not, and whether some fat-dissolving treatment is included, but even so, the original total quote of 23.1 million still seems absurd no matter how I look at it. And what was with that 6.6 million discount supposedly at the manager's discretion for only 20 people? Also, even though I clearly said I had appointments at other hospitals, they pressured me for a deposit, saying it would be refunded if I canceled They also badmouthed the other hospital I had booked with. There wasn't any verified evidence or anything... This hospital also often requests deletion of bad reviews.. Well, they were polite during the consultation. But putting everything else aside, I strongly felt this place was more interested in money than in genuine care, so I'm passing. Well, it depends on the case, so if you go, just use this as reference. This post will probably get deleted soon too. Also, if you're like me, don't say upfront that you want multiple procedures too aggressively.. You'll be treated like an easy mark.
