I had buried sutures 5 years ago, and from the beginning the inner corners of both eyes slowly loosened, and now both sides have come undone, so I’m looking into revision surgery. The problem is not just that they loosened; the suture thread clumped up in the eyelid while coming undone, leaving marks on the eyelid. It seems I’d have to do an incision revision and remove the clumped buried sutures. There is ugly clumped scar tissue left on my eyelids. If I could go back, I would never do it here.
