I have epicanthic folds and typical East Asian eyes with no double eyelids. I got a consultation for double eyelid surgery, and because of the epicanthic folds they also mentioned canthoplasty. I wanted it as natural as possible, so I asked them to set the line low, but they said if you do surgery there still has to be some before-and-after difference and set the line up to the height where it would show when the eyes are open lol. I was looking for a skilled doctor because if canthoplasty is done wrong it can leave awful scars, but after seeing other people’s surgery cases, it seemed like they did a good job keeping scars from showing. It was my first consultation there, and they looked at me kindly, so I liked it.
