I went in for a nose surgery consultation, and they said that inflammation in the nasal tip is inevitable over time, and that all nose surgery should be done in a way that makes it easy to revise later... They said I should definitely do cartilage repositioning + silicone only. In the end, I had the surgery elsewhere, and even though I had the septum and nasal tip done, it looked so natural that thinking about having added ear cartilage once more makes me feel like if I had only done cartilage repositioning, I would definitely have needed revision surgery.
