I had double eyelid surgery 10 years ago when I was in high school, and it is still holding up well. Since it was buried-suture, there was not much swelling, and it turned out really naturally, so no one can tell I had surgery. I am not sure if the front corner was done well, though. There is a slight scar where the stitches were tied, with a bit of puffiness, but honestly even that is hard to notice unless you look closely. By now a lot of time has passed, so the technique must be much better.
