I went in for a consultation because of jaw asymmetry. They said that if there is asymmetry, chin movement and contour surgery alone can help to some extent, but in my case the asymmetry was actually minor and the bigger problem was my flat face with no definition. It was the first time a doctor had diagnosed my problem so accurately, so I was a little surprised. I heard that a flat face needs double jaw surgery to solve the root problem... Contour surgery can tidy up uneven lines and create a softer impression, but it does not make the face look three-dimensional. Their detailed, expert judgment about the concerns I had gave me trust. I liked that they did not push all sorts of procedures, and since I do not need double jaw surgery for a functional problem, they told me to think it through carefully before deciding, which made me trust them even more. I had a follow-up consultation today after the one in February, and I was grateful that they did not act bothered and explained everything in detail.
