I consulted with Dr. Jo Yong-woo. I went there specifically for under-eye fat repositioning because it is a specialist hospital for that, but I really had to wait a long time before I could be seen. The consultation itself was thorough and lasted a long time. But when he saw my age, he talked to me casually, as if I were younger than him. No matter what, I think that sort of thing is basic courtesy, even aside from surgical expertise, so I was disappointed. It seemed like he was trying his best with the consultation, but he told me I had more wrinkles than people my age and recommended lower blepharoplasty. Objectively, my skin is not that saggy. But after saying it was a bit ambiguous, he recommended lower blepharoplasty, and when I said I had not really considered that and was a little scared, he said that under-eye fat repositioning would only improve the dark area a bit and the satisfaction would not be very high. I also had concerns about my face shape and size, so when I mentioned those, he said the uneven double-eyelid line and the different spacing under my eyebrows were caused by forehead lift surgery. I had honestly never thought about that, so I must have looked surprised, and from that point on his attitude changed a lot. His answers became very perfunctory, and he said something along the lines of, if you think that is not it, then keep watching and see. That really upset me. He seems to pursue perfection and seems very proud of himself, but he should also consider the patient's position. Since this is a hospital that heavily recommends forehead lift surgery and under-eye fat repositioning, I felt that was why he recommended the forehead lift, so I ended up going to another hospital. The price was also really high. I wondered whether it was really necessary, and since it might be worth doing when I am older, I decided to drop the idea for now. And doctor, many of your other patients are educated people too. If you keep treating patients like that, I think you might regret it later.
