After my first buried-incision double eyelid surgery, I had revision surgery with incisional eye correction and upper canthoplasty. Before surgery, my double eyelids did not even look obvious and people said my eyes were pretty, but I decided to have surgery because I wanted to improve the slight Mongolian fold and the slightly sleepy-looking impression. I was told that only an incision would clearly improve the asymmetry, so I trusted them and went ahead, but it did not improve at all. Before surgery, the asymmetry was something only I knew about; after surgery, everyone knew I had asymmetrical eyes. One eye now shows a lot of the lacrimal caruncle, and a white scar formed in front of the Mongolian fold, which is stressful... It is not a disastrous eye, but the part I wanted improved did not change at all, and it ended up awkward in every way, so even if I want another revision, it is a headache... It is still better than my pre-op eyes in some ways, but it became so ambiguous that even another revision would take a serious decision.. If you are thinking about surgery here, I hope you clearly decide what kind of eyes you want and visit several places to choose wisely. The doctor was so good at consultation that I trusted the recommended direction and went along with it, which is why it is hard for me to accept the result.. And please really think three times before getting epicanthoplasty or upper canthoplasty. If you have seen a lot of app reviews, you probably know there are quite a few posts worried that the red scar will not go away. It seems this clinic's canthoplasty method is one that inevitably leaves a lot of scarring. I waited after being told to just wait, but the scar settled below the Mongolian fold, and with the exposed lacrimal caruncle, it shows when I smile.. Of course there are people satisfied with their post-op course, but the truth that results vary from person to person did not spare me either...... .
