I had lower outer canthoplasty and lower canthoplasty on my eyes in February 2019. Like everyone else, I found out through a plastic surgery cafe, confirmed that the doctor was a board-certified plastic surgeon, and went after seeing only good reviews. The doctor and the manager looked at the condition of my eyes and said lower outer canthoplasty was possible, and I had the surgery that same day. Personally, I think lower outer canthoplasty is one of the hardest and most painful surgeries in terms of recovery. I don't know why the recovery period is so long... Luckily I was off work and could stay home long enough, but it was still hard. On top of that, the lower canthoplasty on both sides was uneven, which made it even harder. As everyone knows, even if you want a revision, you have to wait 6 months. It really is a period where you feel like your body is producing grit. The only saving grace was that I live in the provinces, but while exchanging messages about my progress with the manager, she arranged a revision surgery, so I went back up from the countryside right away and had the right side revised. Even so, the result is still uneven. But I had no side effects, and it wasn't so seriously strange either, so it reached the point where I thought I could just forget about it and live with it. So even now, I am living without much complaint. Ah, one downside is that if I can't reach the manager who handled me, post-op care becomes difficult. My assigned manager almost never picked up the phone and was really bad at replying to messages, which was very frustrating. But I finished the line revision safely and am living well now. At this point, the lower canthoplasty is not even noticeable, and as long as I don't stare at the mirror too hard, it's fine.
