I had a consultation for revision surgery because one side loosened after my previous surgery. The eye that did not loosen had a pretty line, so I wanted to operate only on the one side that loosened.. I was looking for a hospital where only one side could be done, because I was afraid that if they touched it unnecessarily the line might change. But most places were basically pressuring me to do both sides together since I was already redoing it, so I was conflicted. Here, they said it was okay to do only one side, so I was like, oh! They explained that if the line on the eye that did not loosen had become covered or felt loose, then doing both sides together would be recommended, but since that was not the case, there was no need to touch it. That put my mind at ease. Even the director looked at it and thought the unloosened side looked perfectly fine, I guess But then I worried that if I only did one side, I might end up with uneven eyes..! So I am still thinking about it.. (my mind is like a reed right now) After the consultation with the director, I went back in for the manager's consultation, and she told me to think it over 충분히 and look at other places too. It seems like there is no pressure to book? As soon as the elevator doors opened at first, the lobby was right there, and the coordinators? staff all greeted me from the front, so I felt like I was making my debut on stage.. I was used to hospital staff just staring blankly when I walked up to the desk, so going somewhere that welcomed me kindly felt good.. heh The director, manager, and coordinators were all kind, and that left the biggest impression. I am thinking that if a place is like this, I probably would not worry or feel burdened when asking questions or getting follow-up care after surgery.. but for now I am still on hold because I am deciding between doing one eye or both.
