I had surgery with donated rib cartilage 7 years ago. As you can see from the design here, it is flashy. I also went because I wanted a racer-girl kind of look, but it ended up being an obviously pointy nose. It turned me into Pinocchio. My face is round and cute, but the nose alone sticks out too sharply on my face. Even after a year, contracture occurred and a gap became visible between the donated rib cartilage and the nose. They said they would do revision surgery, but I was scared it would end up as another pointy nose, so I went somewhere else and had a more natural one done. There was scar tissue inside the nose too, so during my revision surgery the doctor was angry, asking where on earth I had the first surgery done to make the nose look like this. Money wasted, time wasted, face ruined.
