I went to Director Jang for a consultation because of contracture. He really examined me carefully, including what the inside of my nose was like. He also used a model to explain things in a way that was easy to understand, taking out a nose model and showing me the lateral wall angle, the medial wall angle, and saying things like the alar cartilage needs to be like this, and so on.. After surgery, I had not been breathing like I used to and I could not smell well either, but I never thought that was a problem caused by my nose surgery. But Director Jang was the only one who figured it out exactly and asked whether breathing felt uncomfortable. He said the septum was also badly weakened, and both the medial and lateral sides of the nasal valve were narrowed.. He said the nasal tip could be lowered with ear cartilage, but that costal cartilage would be needed for septum and nasal valve reconstruction. The consultation was the most detailed and longest I have ever had at any hospital, and he really was not a doctor operating just for money. He also designed my nose by looking at the overall balance.. For me, he said to use costal cartilage for the bridge. I had gone in thinking about dermis, but I guess he thought costal cartilage would suit me better haha
