I went for a consultation with Dr. J. The consultation ended in under 10 minutes. They didn't set the line, and said that with an incision, they could remove 5 mm of skin and then do the procedure, and that we could set the line on the surgery day. They seemed eager to leave, so when I asked, "You won't set the line now?" they said there was no point in setting it now, only set it once, and then left. If they had explained in detail how it would feel and set the line while explaining whether I should decide or not, it would have been different, but suddenly saying they would tell me on the day of surgery made me trust them less.
