I had nose surgery before, but the dorsal hump grew back, and they said I absolutely needed silicone, but when I looked it up, it didn't seem like that was the case. I saw that the uneven parts are supposed to be covered with silicone... There were no problems for several years, but the silicone show-through has gotten severe, so I think I'll need revision surgery.
