Nose Surgery review at Anseongjin (안성진) · 2018-11-24

I had nose surgery here 10 years ago. At first, my flat face gained dimension, so I was very happy~ As I got older and my skin became thinner, it seems problems started to appear little by little... As long as silicone is used, I think it might be the same anywhere... Before the revision surgery, I visited for a consultation. They said my nose was healthy and that if I wanted revision surgery, the Medpor would be left as is. They would keep the silicone height the same, replace it with new silicone, and cover it with Alloderm, and they also recommended alar reduction. I made a reservation and went, and there was not a single person in the waiting room, but because they were in surgery, they apologized for being late and made me wait an hour for a 3-minute consultation. The tip was red. The silicone was showing. The cartilage was showing... no matter what I asked, they answered carelessly with only "there's no problem" and quickly ended the consultation. I felt terrible. I could accept the visibility issue as something that happens because skin gets thinner with age, but the recommendation for alar reduction really felt wrong. There was absolutely no explanation about alar reduction either. Already after surgery, my nostrils became long triangular shapes, which is really ugly, and my alar sides have very little tissue and are really small, so when I heard they wanted to reduce them, all kinds of thoughts came to mind about whether I would still be able to breathe. It would probably be even more extreme than Michael Jackson. I wondered how they could recommend something like that. I felt like the doctor's style and mine just did not match. Right now I have a 3 mm silicone bridge and septal Medpor at the tip. The silicone visibility is now very severe, and the tip is hard and makes a clicking sound when pressed.. so I am seriously looking into revision surgery.
