A clinic where I left feeling so upset after the consultation that I did not want to have surgery. During the consultation, they were showing other patients' charts around in a chaotic way and going on and on about how this person and that person had surgery with me several times, so I asked one question: why did that patient have revision surgery? Then they suddenly got very serious and stared at me for a few seconds, and said, "You are... like this (covering their head with their hand), right? If you had surgery with me, would you have come back to me for revision surgery?" After that, they glared at me with a contemptuous look, and in that moment I felt so humiliated, and the look was genuinely chilling. It feels like because patients only want their surgery to go well and endure the high cost and rudeness, they think they can say harsh things without it mattering. There was almost no explanation about the surgical method either.
