About a week ago, I had surgery for rhinitis to improve a deviated septum and also had a non-implant nose surgery at the same time. It was a revision nose surgery for me, and I chose it because I had a firm idea of the shape I wanted and I was uneasy about silicone. The functional part was also to make an insurance claim, and since winter had started, it was uncomfortable, so I did them together. There were a lot of negative reviews and it was a large hospital, so I worried they might just rush through the surgery quickly. Even on the morning of the surgery, I wasn’t fully convinced, but I’m satisfied with the surgery itself. For my first surgery, the consultation right before surgery ended in about 3 minutes for both eyes and nose, and then they rushed straight into the operation, but this time I brought photos and explained myself carefully, so even right before surgery we discussed the shape for over 10 minutes, and they listened well without showing any sign of wanting to cut the conversation short. Also, right after surgery, unlike my first surgeon, who never even showed his face once even though hospitals with 2 or 3 or more directors usually do that (including my first surgery hospital), he came to me while I was recovering in the ward after the anesthesia wore off and briefly explained that the surgery had gone well and how it had been performed. I stayed one night, and the nurses took good care of me even late at night, and it really felt like a 'hospital.' They also check the progress at 1 week, 2 weeks, and 4 weeks, and each time the doctor checks it himself. For my first surgery, they said they'd see me at 2 weeks, but then quietly sent me home. Small things like that seem to help patients(?) feel at ease. After removing the splint, the shape was progressing exactly as I wanted. I asked for detailed things like making the nasal tip angle higher but not too long-looking by not making the height too high, removing scar tissue, and keeping the bridge line right at the eyelid level, and it seems they paid close attention. They also gave me a splint and told me to sleep with it on so the scar tissue wouldn’t form again. I still don’t know whether inflammation will appear or how the shape will change, but with a non-implant result like this, I’m really satisfied, and the doctor, the director, and the nurses were all so kind (and honestly, after visiting over 20 plastic surgery clinics, there really aren’t many nurses who treat you like a real hospital, in a hospital-like way.) So even if a side effect does come up, I feel like they would handle it properly. Maybe because many older people come here for functional reasons too. It feels like a university hospital or a neighborhood ENT clinic..? There’s a reason there aren’t many reviews on the app haha +) Personally, the location also wasn’t in a crowded cosmetic surgery district, so it was easy to move around with the splint on, and in the first place I deliberately had surgery by the only doctor who specialized in plastic surgery, and communication was good. I liked the shape so much that I think I would have been satisfied even if I had gone with silicone.
