I was diagnosed with 3 mm Gore-Tex. The tip of the nose is ear cartilage. The material is a little concerning, but the explanation that it is a material also used in the human heart put my mind at ease a bit, and it gave me more confidence in the surgery. I also trusted the director's professionalism.
