I went for my first consultation for nose surgery with Director Chun Nam-ju. As soon as I arrived, I filled out a chart and had my face photographed (no CT scan), then had the first consultation with the manager. When I said it was my first consultation, the manager first explained the basic concepts such as nose materials and surgical methods, and after discussing what I wanted to improve, I went on to consult with the chief surgeon. If you sit in the same consultation room, the chief surgeon comes in and consults with you, and I asked through the manager whether it would be okay to record because I thought it would be hard to write everything down, and they kindly allowed it right away. The consultation with the chief surgeon alone lasted close to 40 minutes and was very long and detailed. He sat close, analyzed my nose in detail from the bone to the cartilage and shape, and tried to explain the surgical direction in the direction I wanted. (I could choose between no implant and a thin silicone implant, but since it was my first consultation it was hard to decide. If you already have a slightly high nasal bridge, it might help to think beforehand about whether you want an implant.) After that, I was able to ask the manager more questions about the cost, surgery time, number of visits, and so on. They said they only do 2 surgeries a day, and there was absolutely no pressure to pay a deposit. The 20,000-won consultation fee did not feel wasted at all. The first consultation was so good that other hospitals' consultations felt a bit disappointing. I plan to review the consultation notes and think about it a little more!
