I had my first eyelid surgery on Friday, June 3 at 6:00~ The manager was kind, answered my questions well whenever I had something to ask, and always explained things clearly, so that was nice. I was frustrated because the reviews I saw were missing details, so I'll write down what I can remember! 1. Parking I came with a guardian, and parking was covered based on discharge time. Parking fees were covered. 2. Fasting and arriving at the hospital Fasting for 4 hours After 1:00 p.m., I couldn't eat anything and had to arrive by 5:00 p.m. I arrived at the hospital at 4:30 p.m. 3. After arrival Paid for the surgery (deposit of 100,000 won) Changed clothes and took photos Met with my guardian and the manager, listened to explanations about precautions, aftercare, side effects, and so on, and filled out the surgery consent form 4. Consultation before surgery Design consultation with the director (manager and guardian also present) I liked that the director explained what to consider and choose while trying out the line. I kept blinking a lot while defining the line, so it kept coming undone, and even when they had to redo it, they never showed any irritation and responded kindly! Later they said it was tiring, but I was grateful they were kind until the end~ I have uneven eyes, and my right eyelid was a little more droopy, so they kept comparing the line and asked whether it differed from the left line or not. They also told me later that if the line is too low, it is easy to raise, but if it is too high, lowering it is difficult, so I was able to choose carefully and have the surgery. In-out line: left 9 mm, right 9.5 mm 5. Surgery There is CCTV in the operating room I don't know whether it can be viewed because I didn't ask After going into the operating room, I lay down on the operating table, they confirmed my personal information and what surgery it was, and they fixed my hands and feet while explaining things. A nurse set up the operating room, and after a few minutes the director came in. They checked the final design carefully again, made adjustments, then did sedation anesthesia, local anesthesia, and started the surgery. In the middle, they asked me to open my eyes twice. 6. After surgery After surgery, I was helped by a nurse to a private recovery room and did cold compresses. My guardian was contacted and informed right when the surgery ended, then came into the recovery room. I also received IV fluids and rested for about 20 to 30 minutes. I changed back into my clothes, went to the lobby desk, and received an ice pack and a small amount of gauze. I was given a paper with instructions after eye surgery and listened to the explanation. I got the prescription, had the medication filled at the pharmacy, and went home. These days, pharmacies print medication information and how to take it on the bag, but there was none of that, so I was disappointed~ * On the day of surgery I kept doing cold compresses on the way home, and after arriving home I rested, went for a walk, and then slept. * Day 1 After waking up, I walked for 10 minutes, ate breakfast, took my medicine, then kept alternating between cold compresses for more than 3 times an hour and resting. After lunch, I took my medicine, walked for 10 minutes, and did cold compresses more than 3 times an hour. After dinner, I took my medicine, rested while doing cold compresses, then walked for about 40 minutes. I slept with 2 pillows. I kept applying ophthalmic ointment around the line to keep it moist. I also kept practicing opening my eyes so the swelling would go down faster and the line would settle well. * Day 2 After waking up, I did cold compresses, ate breakfast, took my medicine, and walked for 10 minutes. I repeated cold compresses more than 3 times an hour. After lunch, I took my medicine, walked for 15 minutes, and kept repeating cold compresses. After dinner, I took my medicine, repeated cold compresses, and walked for 10 minutes. The swelling seems to be going down better than I expected, and I like the line, so I'm just waiting for it to heal well~~
