I had double-eyelid surgery by buried suture at another place, but it came loose, so although I still had double eyelids, it was basically the same as having them come undone, with just a line drawn above the eyelid fold. Two years ago I had a revision with incisional surgery here. An Instagram influencer said she had it done here too, and looking back now, I wonder how she revealed the clinic in a public Instagram story. I thought it looked successful, so I stubbornly decided I had to do it here and did not look into any other place before booking the surgery right away. Before deciding on the surgery, when I consulted with the doctor, I said I did not like the existing line from the first surgery (an inline), so I wanted the line a bit higher, and he said he would do that. But on the actual surgery day, during the pre-op consultation, he marked the final line again and it was the exact same line as the existing one, so when I said I wanted a line higher than the existing one, he suddenly said that because it was a revision surgery, he could not raise the line. I should have said I would not do the surgery and left at that point, but I was young, did not have the courage, and did not really know anything about plastic surgery, so I could not tell whether it was normal that the line could not be raised for revision surgery or not, and I went through with the operation feeling uneasy. The result was that after just 3 months, just like after the first buried-suture surgery, the double eyelid basically came undone and only barely held as a line above the eyelid fold. Even now, 2 years later, when I close my eyes, the scar on my right eye is clearly visible. Because of the scar, if I open my eyes without putting much force into them, the line looks a bit uneven.
