Since I was studying at Konkuk, I went looking for the most trustworthy skin clinic near Konkuk Univ. Station. Back then it was Cheonho Muse! I was debating whether to just go to Gangnam Muse instead, but people strongly recommended this place. I don't really trust places that plaster obvious ads everywhere or get praised way too much, so I prefer the vibe of a hidden good spot. This place felt like that lol Anyway, when I went for a consultation, a consultant came out and explained things to me. They told me about possible inflammation side effects from laser hair removal and that it can make skin dry so I should moisturize well.. and even said botox for the square jaw would be good. They didn't force extra procedures, which was nice. The prices they mentioned were a bit expensive though, but thanks to my mom I paid everything in one shot and went ahead with the procedure. It was the kind of laser that uses cold air while zapping, so they said it was a less painful Apogee something or other. As for pain: elsewhere was basically no pain <<< armpits (sting) <<<<<< calves (ow) <<<<<<< toes (it burns!). Afterward it got red and felt dry. The doctor was very kind and kept talking to me throughout the procedure, and worked carefully. The most important part, the result after 5 sessions, was... about 3 to 4 months had passed, and if my hair used to be at ape level, now maybe about 20% of fine hair is coming back? If I want it gone completely, I guess I'd need 10 sessions.. The hair on my hands and feet is coming back just like before Still, I am glad the hair reduced a lot, but the downside was that I got a lot of ingrown hairs on my legs and black pigmented spots kept appearing.. Hmm, enough to trigger trypophobia, maybe.. haha I guess I'll just moisturize and leave it for now, then go to a dermatologist later.. Still, I think this is a common side effect of laser hair removal! I'm open to coming back for other procedures too! For laser hair removal, though, I'd probably go somewhere cheaper..
