There are additional costs depending on the body areas added to match your body, as well as BMI. First, the consultation day - the wait time was average. The hospital facilities were decent. I changed clothes first, then had an InBody measurement, then a consultation with the coordinator manager. The consultation with the doctor was said to be delayed because he was in surgery, so I asked the consultation manager the questions I had written down. Other than that, there was no special explanation, just talk about adding areas and the cost. In hospitals where the price keeps rising because of extra charges, I have more body weight, so BMI was added and several areas were added, which made the surgery cost go up a lot. I looked into many other hospitals, but it was too hard to choose. I was already exhausted from looking into more hospitals, so I decided to have it done here and went in intending to book. I had also looked into this hospital last summer when I was considering liposuction, and apart from everything else, I chose it because the doctor seemed to have a lot of surgical experience. Normally I go in after checking basic information beforehand, but most of the reviews were on Gangnam Unnie and Babitalk, and there was not much on other communities, so I did not know much before the consultation. I was told that the surgery cost varies a lot from person to person because of added areas and extra charges, and that all discount details are different too. So I could not write the exact amount and only wrote the cost listed in the plastic surgery app. If your body is far above the standard range, you should expect the price to increase a lot, and although there are extra charges at any hospital, the standards and amounts seem to differ. Some places charge different amounts by area, but here it was all the same. Surgery day - surgery at 3 p.m. I was told to arrive by 2. First I went to the pharmacy, then changed clothes, waited, filled out simple paperwork with the manager, waited again, and around 3 p.m. the compression garment fitting company came to measure my size, then I waited, then the doctor did the design, and then I went into the operating room. When I entered the operating room, it was around 4:30 to 5:00... Liposuction is a major surgery, so I was terrified that something might happen or that a complication might occur, and I stayed tense the whole time. When the disinfectant was sprayed and I lay down, as anesthesia was administered, I cried bitterly and shed tears... T_T At that moment I met someone who was unbelievably kind. The person in the operating room... um, someone a bit on the larger side... haha. They really held my hand and asked why I was crying and told me it would be okay T_T. This person was the kindest of everyone I met during this nervous hospital visit, and I remember and appreciate them the most... I think I was able to close my eyes in peace largely because of them... lol. The surgery ended and I came out around 7:30. Oh, and for the surgery, two doctors came in. They said the head doctor and one more woman who would help would be in there too, haha. My meeting with the doctor was brief and I did not talk much, but he was kind. After it was over, when they put the compression garment on me, I opened my eyes, was moved by wheelchair, and then went to the recovery room and got onto the bed by myself. I had seen posts saying that the line seen right after surgery is similar to the final line, so I quickly came to my senses and lifted the blanket to look at my legs first. Hmm, maybe because my expectations were too high, it seemed like it did go down a little, but was it already swollen? After that I just lay there because of the anesthesia. I was thirsty and looking for water, and a nurse gave me something like juice. They also gave me a few chocolates. I wanted to lie there a little longer, but my friend was waiting and the hospital closing time was approaching, so I just left quickly. People say others cannot even walk and collapse, but I was much more okay than I expected. Even taking a taxi home did not feel like too much. When I got home, I felt a little dizzy while changing clothes, but after that, on the third day, I even walked and ran around in front of my friends on purpose. There was almost no bruising or swelling... Friends around me who had also had liposuction said they had bad bruising and swelling and had a hard month, but I was fine from the first week, so I was confused. Later I looked into it more and there was a reason for that. I do not have any side effects yet, and the incision area is not very big, so it seems okay. The scar looks smaller than the scar photos I saw from other hospitals. A bumpy fibrosis reaction appeared from the second week, but I can only feel it slightly on the inner side of one leg, and I am not sure about the other areas. It feels like the inner thighs and outer hips were reduced. For the other areas with a lot of muscle, I think it should be seen as a line-refining effect. Still, it ended safely without problems, and I am at least a little slimmer than before. From the start, the area above the knees had no bruising or pain at all, and there is no change even now in week 3. For now, it is just a line-refining stage overall. I plan to wait longer. After that, I went to the hospital the next day for dressing change and on the day the stitches were removed. On the dressing day, the person who had given me the chocolates took care of me. I also received scar laser treatment. The aftercare radiofrequency treatment is again in 2 weeks. In cases like liposuction, they say you need to wait at least 1 month to 3 to 6 months to see the complete result after all the swelling is gone. The major swelling seems to have gone down now, but because of the smaller swelling I am still thick, though I can feel that I am becoming slightly thinner little by little. A surgery done safely without overdoing it does not create a dramatic change like from fat thighs to bone-thin thighs. I once saw that a safe liposuction result is more like fat -> plump, plump -> average, average -> slim, slim -> very thin. People who have had it done may relate to that. From other reviews and friends around me who had it done, going from fat -> slim seems to require much more personal effort and management over a long period even after liposuction. Diet control and changing daily habits seem necessary so it does not return to how it was before, and recovery can be fast while the line can become smaller.
