Komiin 코미인Nose SurgeryOverall: 1.0/5

Ugh, another victim has appeared T_T I happened to come back here for the first time in a while and felt awful, so I’m revising my added post. I sincerely hope no more victims show up.. In 2022, I came along to my mom’s surgery consultation through my mom’s acquaintance, and on impulse we both had surgery that same day. We were careless. I regret it to death.. What I got from this hospital was medical PTSD, a ruined face, and depression. What I lost was money and time. First, these are the problems I experienced and am thinking about based on that experience. (Assistant staff doing surgery on behalf of the doctor, the surgeon teaching while operating.. simultaneous surgeries - 3 or more people under one curtain. For reference, the head surgeon is one person - gynecology background. No CT machine, after consultation with the manager, only 10 seconds with the doctor before surgery, the manager doing consultations - not a specialist doing the surgery, cleanliness in the operating room - staff wearing fur coats in the OR while surgery is in progress, going in and out wearing fur coats, old equipment, brokers taking a 20% commission - anyone can do it, postop check lasting 10 seconds and no memory of the patient - because the doctor was not the one who operated, and even if a complication happens they deny everything to the end - every hospital staff member reacts the same way, and if you make a big fuss they say they’ll give you Botox~ stuff like that..) You still wouldn’t go there, right.. I had already shopped around elsewhere and even had an appointment booked, but the impulsive mother-and-daughter pair crossed a point of no return.. My mom knew nothing, but I had had quite a few cosmetic surgeries, and I thought I knew most of the plastic surgery clinics in Gangnam. Yes, this was truly the biggest mistake of my life.. It felt off, like, is this really right..? Is it..? but it was introduced by my mom’s acquaintance, and (that lady said hers turned out pretty well) I ended up self-hypnotizing myself into thinking, this must be one of those little gem clinics that gets word-of-mouth from older women! and walked into the operating room.. We decided on my mom’s nose, facelift, and fat grafting, and my nose surgery. After paying (they also forced a bank transfer while pushing the discount narrative T_T), I asked whether it was really okay to do major surgeries all at once, but they said everyone does it that way and there’s absolutely no problem. Putting my uneasy feelings aside, my mom went into the operating room first, and then I went in after her. The moment I entered, my body froze. It looked like a ridiculous old sitcom operating table, and through one curtain there was my mom under general anesthesia having surgery, another patient also in surgery, and the table I was supposed to lie on.. there may have been more, but I was so terrified that I honestly can’t remember exactly. I was looking at my mom’s operating table, so scared that I almost turned back and walked out, but they immediately tied me down and started anesthesia before I could even think straight. I usually wake up from anesthesia easily and babble and thrash around, and what I vaguely remember is feeling like a young man I thought was an assistant was actually doing the surgery, so I struggled like crazy. After my surgery somehow ended and I came out to wait for my mom, I waited worried because she still hadn’t come out long after the scheduled time, and around closing time my mom finally came out. She looked like someone who was about to die.. Since it was a major surgery, that may sound expected because of the blood, but it really felt like something had gone very, very wrong. As expected, the bleeding was severe, and they said they had stopped the operation midway after starting with the thighs for fat extraction, then doing the lift, then the nose.. But the doctor never even showed his face, left the explanation to the assistant, and the two of them just went on playing around in that run-down hospital.. They are truly people with no sense of responsibility or humanity.. My mom said that during surgery, while teaching someone, he was saying things like, do it like this and then do it like that~ that’s right! Oh my!!! There’s blood!! Wow, this is the first time I’ve seen so much blood!! My mom clearly remembers the conversation in the operating room.. With pain plus worrying about my mom, I couldn’t sleep a wink, and I kept thinking this doesn’t seem right, let’s stop mom’s surgery and just do it somewhere else, but when you think about it, what hospital would take over a surgery that was left unfinished.. We didn’t have any financial cushion either, so we scraped everything together for the surgery, and ugh.. The next day the doctor came and said they had only stopped because the bleeding was severe, it’s nothing serious, let’s do it again, and then went in and did it again T_T I really waited for my mom while crying.. seriously.. ignorance is a sin.. I kept worrying she might not come out, wondering where and how things went wrong, why I made this choice, hating myself and feeling pathetic, my mind was blank and every minute and second felt like an hour, those were horrible times.. After that awful experience, I only waited for recovery and kept going to the hospital, crying and swallowing my pride for dressing changes and removing the splint, even though I didn’t want to go there at all. Of course the result was that both of us were totally ruined.. I ended up with a neither-handsome-nor-ugly nose avatar, and my mom’s nose became completely upturned, with the cartilage inside the nose fully visible..... I was literally speechless. Anyone could see it T_T The hospital just kept saying wait whenever I told them, and the doctor’s dialect, carelessly saying random things like wow~ it turned out great, so pretty~ is still vivid in my ears. I’d love to explain everything in full, but I think what I’ve written so far is only about one-third of the whole story... In conclusion, to summarize the facts, (it’s not even at the level of a ghost doctor, there is only one doctor but three surgeries are done at the same time.. haha. Obvious, right? And they use patients like lab rats for practice..) None of the staff there are normal.. Money-obsessed psychopaths.. The head doctor, Choi C.M., is a gynecology specialist.. The manager is not a specialist either, but that manager does eyelid surgery.. Consulting, then eyelid surgery.. ughhh Truly an amazing clinic with no end no matter how much you dig.. Please, please, please do not go.. This is a request... ----------------+ revised addendum up to here I had revision surgery, and my mom only had the silicone removed (it ended up being inflammation). Her face has become incredibly harsh She said, how much longer can I live like this, I thought I was going to die mid-surgery, and now she says she has surgery trauma and will just live like this.. It was my first time seeing CT, and my first time learning they used L-shaped silicone. I have no idea why they would ever use L-shaped silicone, and there is only one surgical method! Whether the nose is small or big, lifted or drooping! There is only one surgical method^^ A masterpiece made by that operating room assistant haha At the revision clinic, they said even the silicone wasn’t fitting the bone properly and was floating, and that the tissue at the tip of the nose was so close to the silicone that it was about to break through.. They turned my healthy nose into an avatar, and it became crooked. Every other day, I had my nose operated on three times. The silicone was crooked, the cartilage was sticking out, and so on.. They did local anesthesia on skin full of scars and haha Since then, I think I developed trauma toward the operating table. Even if I only want Botox, I get facial spasms lol I did it together with my mom, but my mom kept getting inflammation, it was hard and something could be felt, and the doctor just pulled the I-don't-care move haha Whenever there was a problem and we went back, he always said everything was fine lol No, the patient is saying it’s not fine??? It was obvious the so-called doctor had the assistants do all the surgery and didn’t even remember it (because when I went into the operating room for my surgery, there were already two people lying there behind one curtain... one had the forehead opened up..;;;; and there was only one doctor...???!? And some manager from reception or whatever was walking in and out during surgery wearing a fur coat. It was winter then. I should have stormed out right then, sigh..) If we complained, he’d only say nonsense like he gave us a huge discount so it was basically free. My mom went in recently because it felt hot and hard and swollen, and they said it wasn’t inflammation Then what, do they only admit it’s inflammation once it rots and falls apart? In the end, after begging, they only removed the silicone. There’s absolutely no CT or anything like that, and even when we ask what surgery was done, they won’t show us the chart at all h; Even if you ask the doctor, he doesn’t know.. because he wasn’t the one who did it.... It looks like the operating-room people just do it themselves. The aftercare is truly a total mess. No doctor qualifications x, morality gone, humanity gone. Operating-room hygiene management is the worst. The reviews really resonate with me, and they sound just like the post I wrote myself
