Eye Surgery review at Gangnamsamseong (강남삼성) · 2021-01-24

I had the surgery as soon as I turned 20, so it's already been 6 years. I had no double eyelids and small eyes, which was a complex for me, so I got the surgery. To put it simply, the eyelid lines on both eyes ended up uneven, and the scar from the outer canthoplasty on one eye stood out in red, so I had revision care one year after the surgery. They were reluctant to do the revision care, saying that human eyes are all somewhat uneven anyway, but my mom called the hospital and made a scene, so they agreed to do it. The surgeon who operated on me was the chief surgeon, and because I was getting double-eyelid surgery, upper blepharoplasty, and both inner and outer canthoplasty, I spent quite a lot of money. If I told people how much I paid for double-eyelid surgery back then, everyone would be shocked, so my mom complained to the hospital that it made no sense for them not to do revision care after taking that money. So in the end they did a revision surgery as aftercare, and the line height was adjusted somewhat, but the outer canthoplasty scar is almost the same. The end of the eye is not attached to the eyeball but sits slightly away from it, and when I am tired or not feeling well, that area looks even redder, so people around me have startled and asked why my eyes looked like that, whether they were bloodshot, and once they even said they thought I was bleeding. Makeup hides it to some extent, but without makeup the scar is obvious, as if I had a clear outer canthoplasty. And when I close my eyes, the incision line from the double-eyelid surgery is also clearly visible, so it is basically an eye that obviously looks like it had double-eyelid surgery. What I am satisfied with is that the inner canthoplasty was done naturally without a scar, and that I still got double eyelids, so my eyes became bigger than before. Those are the only two things. A friend of my mom's recommended this hospital, so I had the surgery here when I was 20 without looking into it properly and without knowing any better. If I could go back, I would research carefully and get the surgery somewhere else.
