There was no CT scan, and there was no virtual surgery either. They only took photos and looked at them, and the consultation fee was 10,000 won. It seems like this place is suited to people who want to trust the director completely and lie down on the operating table, rather than negotiate exactly how they want it done. I have a hump nose, and because I wanted to touch it as little as possible and have it done once and finished, I wanted to go with a safety-first approach. From the photos, I could see that my nose was somewhat asymmetrical. And when they looked at the hump, they noticed it was compressed and asked if I had worn glasses for a long time (I went wearing contacts). When I looked in the mirror at the clinic, it was clear that one side had dropped sharply and the other side was dropping asymmetrically (the bone where glasses rest). While shaving down the hump, it’s not just the hump bone itself that gets shaved; they have to follow the connected line, so they also shave a bit underneath. They said the tip of the nose would not drop lower than it is now, but since right now I have a hump nose where the tip sits lower than the bridge, if I want to make the line prettier, I would need some work on the nose tip too. Either just a bit of nasal cartilage tying, or septal cartilage harvest plus ear cartilage if there isn’t enough. When we looked at the post-op review photos together with the director, there was definitely no line that looked like the tip would spring upward, so it matched the style I was aiming for and felt natural. They also showed me a case where they corrected only the hump without any tip correction at all (a man), and they said that in most hump-nose surgeries they do internal and external osteotomies and raise the tip a bit or improve the angle. They said they don’t put packing in the nose, which sounds heavenly. The consultation was detailed and the manager was kind too. There were no other discounts. But the doctor kept saying that osteotomy absolutely has to be done.
